Choosing a father-daughter dance song for your wedding can be a daunting task. How do you select a song that appropriately honors the first man in your life? You want something that’s meaningful without being cheesy, fun yet danceable, and memorable enough that 20 years from now you won’t ask, “What was I thinking?!” I tried to come up with some suggestions that I think fit the bill. From country to pop to rock, these touching tunes offer a new spin on that dance with Dad.

Band Showcase

I love watching and listening to live bands at weddings! I especially love it when the bands throw some Lady Gaga and Black Eyed Peas into the mix which usually gets the crowd onto the dance floor. It’s like your own mini concert at the wedding! But the most important part in selecting a live band is being able to see or hear their performances. Live bands and groups will generally have music samples and videos for clients to review on their website. It’s even better when you get to see them live because then you’ll really feel the energy. Murry Hill Talent, a premier Boston resource for event entertainment, is hosting a band showcase for the band – Redline.
