And we’re not talking about Uncle Bob’s chest. We’re thinking of our favorite companions; the ones that greet you every time you walk through the door; the ones that get overly excited for a small treat; the ones we snuggle and cuddle with – our dogs!

Policy
Pet policies are different for every venue in Boston. Some of the local venues, such as Boston Harbor Hotel, Liberty Hotel, Fairmount Hotel, Hyatt Regency Boston, Nine Zero Hotel, are all pet friendly. So you can have your furry friend for the ceremony portion of the wedding. Regretfully, they will not be able to attend the reception so there are usually designated hotel room floors for pets. Check with the specific hotel to see what the overnight fee and room policies are for pets.

You can also incorporate your dog into the wedding by having them as the ring bearer! It’s best to have them walk down the aisle with someone though. Imagine how many “Awwwww!” comments you’d get having a kid ring bearer walking the dog with a pillow attached.

We had the absolute pleasure of meeting Christine Weiland, the Catering Sales Manager at the Hyatt Regency Boston located in the Theater District of Downtown at One Avenue De Lafayette.
This hidden gem venue of Boston has newly renovated guestrooms and event space for weddings that I am just in love with! Gorgeous crystal chandeliers, floor-to-ceiling mirrors, modern carpeting design (ugly carpets are an instant deal breaker when you walk into a ballroom), outdoor terraces (yup, there’s two!), standard chiavari chairs, and so much more to make you think twice about this local hotel.
The Adrienne Salon is ideal for intimate ceremonies or banquets
Want to have a Cape wedding but save on gas?
Check out their main lobby function rooms: Chatham, Cape Cod, and Nantucket
The Grand Ballroom on the top floor of the Hyatt Regency Boston Hotel can accommodate up to 500 guests without a dance floor (perfect ceremony location for those interested in having a Chinatown restaurant reception in Boston) and about 350 with a dance floor.
To the left of the Grand Ballroom are glass sliding doors that lead out to their outdoor terrace which sparkles with city lights, twinkle lights, tiki torches, and cabanas. Ah, heaven on a city roof-top? I think so.
Be sure to check out the hotels wedding menu for different wedding packages or contact Christine Weiland for more information.

Now that the sun is out and the flowers are in full bloom, what photo backdrop would be better than the beautiful scenic view of summer for your wedding photos. While browsing through a wedding magazine, I came across some ideas to help save some money and keep your wedding costs on a tight budget. Booking a public garden, arboretum or historical mansion/house is a great way to lower your costs while being able to enjoy the most out of the venue. The photos taken by the photographer would be beautiful and the natural lighting will enhance the color of each picture. The bright green grass along with the new blossoming flowers will add a vibrant glow to each and every photo. Even though there are countless upsides to booking a public garden as a venue, there are a few downsides as well. Since the venue is open to the public, you may have to deal with onlookers who are curious of the event. The crazy weather in New England is not a surprise to any resident, so coming prepared with a Plan B (colorful umbrellas, flip flops for guests) will be helpful. Needless to say, as loud as an onlooker or as rainy the weather, nothing can take away from your day.
To book the Boston Public Gardens as your wedding venue, a couple would need to notify the city at least 15 days in advance and make a check payable to the City of Boston for $50.
What is one thing Las Vegas is known for? Quickie weddings!
That is not a lie! During my recent spontaneous trip to Vegas, I spotted small wedding chapels everywhere that harbored themes from all over the world, however, Vegas surprised me in many different ways. I have never dreamed of a huge wedding for myself but I also didn’t fancy the idea of eloping. I believe that when you love someone proclaiming your love for them in front of your family and friends makes everything that much more special. The beauty in Vegas reminded me that you don’t need to have a big wedding to make it extravagant; simply hiring a photographer to meet you at a destination and take some memorable photographs will suffice.
As I walked along the strip, hotels are lined up screaming for your attention. During the day, the structures are built to rightfully represent their name and each are as astounding as you may imagine. When night comes, the city of lights come to life. Each hotel is proudly flashes their lights to grab the attention of tourists. Vegas was able to give me a little taste of everywhere that I wanted to visit.
I started with…
The Venetian
In one instance, I was in Barcelona, marveling at the private gondola ride that couples were able to experience together.
Next, I was in Egypt admiring the “Sphinx”
I finally got to visit Paris!
and if you just love the city and can’t get away from it, here it is!
Last but not least, a breathtaking view of the Grand Canyon.
In the few days that I was in Vegas, I was able to see a handful of places from all around the world.
I’m going to leave you with a bride running to the altar to meet her prince; how picturesque.
